Stiperstones Fell Race

Conditions were better on the evening of this race in which the runners had to run a short sharp race up an 800 foot climb and a 3.2 mile off road course which was rough and rocky in places.
Glenn MacDonald-Jones was first back for Newport in 35m 33s to gain 33rd position. Sandy Mackenzie was 41st in 37m 16s and Helen MacDonald-Jones had a reasonable run to finish 72nd in 44m 03s.
